Avicii is on Barack Obama's music radar
He also mentioned streaming giant Spotify
President of the United States, Barack Obama, praised Avicii and Spotify, among others, when Nordic leaders arrived at The White House.
"Some of us dance and sing to Abba and Avicii," he said as he welcomed them to Washington. "I do want to point out that Finland has perhaps the most heavy metal bands in the world per capita, and also ranks high on good governance. I don't know if there's any correlation there."
After saying he'd be performing this year's remaining shows before retiring, Avicii has just announced he would be cancelling his Las Vegas residency due to 'personal reasons'.
Obama also bigged up Lego, Angry Birds and Ikea at the press conference. You can see it below.
