Nyege Nyege Festival will broadcast worldwide in December
It’ll be 96 straight hours of free-to-watch sets and performances
Nyege Nyege Festival this week announced their plan for their 2020 edition.
Online audiences can register free of charge to sign up to watch 96 hours of festival content, which will broadcast live from December 3-6.
The festival will employ motorcycle taxis, or boda boda, to deliver food, drinks, mixologists, hair stylists, sound systems, and Nyege Nyege masks and t-shirts to Covid-secure home parties across Kampala, the festival’s usual home.

The livestreams will be available after the four-day festival on the Nyege Nyege website. After December, the website will function as a subscriber-supported platform to sustainably support cutting-edge African culture.
The theme of this year’s Nyege Nyege festival is African unity. Over 350 artists have been confirmed to play the festival, curated by over 45 African or Afro-centric collectives.
