Number 90 secures 6:AM licence, reveals new venue space Lock

London venue Number 90 has secured a 6:AM licence and revealed a brand new club space, named Number 90 Lock.

The multi-space venue’s new late licence – which will be viable on Fridays and Saturdays – is said to be the “only one of its kind in Hackney”.

As well as its new late licence, Number 90 has revealed its newly “reimagined” space, Lock, just months after unveiling its neighbouring 450-capacity club space, Hideout.

Promising to be “an audiophile’s dream”, Number 90 Lock features a “world-class soundsystem” made by D&B Audiotechnik and Martin Audio, as well as underfloor engineering to “amplify both comfort and impact”.

Like Hideout, Lock will also feature acoustic treatment with timber-framed walls, custom ceiling panels, and bass traps in each corner of the room.

A “fully bespoke visual production” and “immersive” LED design, projection, and strobes also complete the reimagined space, which opened for the first time last week.

To come this year, Juan Atkins, Egyptian Lover, Gideön, Sansibar, Josey Rebelle, and more are all set to perform at the new event space, with full line-ups yet to be announced.
