Grime talent Novelist last night revealed 'Ruff Sound', what he's calling a new sub-genre of grime.

Our March cover star says the genre's beats range from 152-160bpm, showcased last night as he was joined on Rinse FM by Grandmixxer and a few MCs for a 40-minute set, with jungle, grime and drum 'n' bass being influences.

It's been a hectic year for Nov, having featured on Chase & Status' 'Bigger Man Sound' and Katy B's album 'Honey'.

You can catch the full set and the Ruff Sound manifesto below.
