No selfie sticks allowed at Coachella and Lollapalooza

Parklife, Ultra and a host of UK venues have already banned the camera accessory

Different festivals, same ban.

California dual weekender Coachella and Chicago festival Lollapalooza are the latest to prohibit selfie sticks after Manchester's Parklife and Ultra Music Festival in Miami did the same.

While Lollapalooza's site says "GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods" are forbidden, Coachella lists the metal rods alongside "narsisstics" as items not allowed onsite.

It's not surprising really, especially when so many artists are kicking off about the excessive use of phones at gigs and festivals nowadays. Some UK venues have even threatened to eject anyone caught using them, too.
