Nightmares on Wax unveils new ‘Club E.A.S.E’ single series via Warp Records
The series focuses on club music
Nightmares On Wax has unveiled the beginning of his Club E.A.S.E series, which focuses on “basement and after hours” ready club music.
The string of releases will represent N.O.W’s formative club experiences as a DJ in Leeds during the ‘90s as well as sounds from his early releases on the influential, longstanding Warp label.
The first two track single ‘Yeah You!’ and ‘Come On Then’ encapsulates these early club sounds that had such a lasting influence on him. Speaking about the tracks, he says “ ‘Yeah You!’ and ‘Come On Then’ express the early '90s MPC SP12 drum machine sample based sounds that I love so much! With undertones of hip hop beats, famously coined by legends like Todd Terry and Kenny Dope. I feel this sound plays such a key part in my early days of clubbing and after hours basement parties.”
The vinyl release will feature two additional tracks; the A2 side ‘1More Tune’ and the B1 cut ‘Whodunit’.
