The multi-use independent bar and arts centre will be opened on July 1 with a capacity of 120 inside and 120 in its beer garden, rising to a total capacity of 350 when restrictions are lifted.

Bands and DJs set to perform in the opening weekends include Beans on Toast, Dr Syntax and Binbag Wisdom.

Kaye Dunnings, Creative Director at Lost Horizon, said: “At last, a lifelong dream of ours is being realised - a creative headquarters where our culture and community can thrive year round - and can be experienced by everyone.

“With inclusivity at our core, we will raise the bar with our new venture, forging collaborations and partnerships within the city and beyond on our ever evolving exploration into human connection.”

The venue will look to bring a host of headline acts to Bristol over the summer after Glastonbury Festival was forced to cancel for a second year in a row because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There will also be art takeovers at the venue every Saturday as well as a street gallery with a revolving exhibition available for the public 24/7.
