Little Simz proclaims ‘I Love You, I Hate You’ on latest track

Little Simz released a new track from her forthcoming album, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ last night.

The British rapper teased the new record back in April, announcing its release for September 3. So far, Simz has dropped three tracks in lieu of the new record, ‘Introvert’, ‘Rollin Stone’ and ‘Woman’.

The rapper explained previously that the record was mostly written through lockdown, documenting a new period of her life and the realisation of a music industry that expects artists to be extroverted.

“I wanted to just let people know like, yo, I’m actually this way inclined… being this introverted person that has all these crazy thoughts and ideas and theories in my head and not always feeling like I’m able to express it if it’s not through my art,” she said on the new album.

‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ is the sixth full-length release from Little Simz from her breakout debut ‘Blank Canvas’ back in 2014, right up to 2019’s ‘GREY Area’.

Announcing the new track on Twitter last night, Simz said: “wasn't an easy one to write but grateful I get to share this one with you all. Thank you for the love on every drop.”

Featuring artwork created by Jeremy Ngatho Cole, the visual to go alongside the new track shows the artist’s drawing from start to finish.
