New 300-capacity open-air venue to open in London, Camden Courtyard
The venue opens for the first time this July from the team behind Electric Ballroom
A new 300-capacity music venue is set to open in London this July from the team behind Electric Ballroom, Camden Courtyard.
The open-air venue will open its doors for the first time on July 4 in “the heart of Camden Town”, sitting beside Electric Ballroom on “newly repurposed land”.
The venue is designed and built by Fables Creative, the team behind stages at GALA, Gottwood, and Waterworks, fitted with a “high-spec” Martin Audio soundsystem.

Camden Courtyard is set to offer a “carefully curated” mix of live acts, DJs, bands, and branded nights from the likes of Midnight Runners, Colorize, UKG Brunch, FreeFromSleep, and Ketoloco.
“The venue will offer something new for Camden, an area that has surprisingly few open-air locations for drinking, dining and dancing,” says Kate Fuller, the owner of Electric Ballroom and Camden Courtyard.
“We’re working with a great selection of forward-thinking promoters, DJs and food & drink brands and we can’t wait to welcome new faces and regulars alike.”

As well as musical offerings, Camden Courtyard will also provide food from Pizza & Dumplings, and frozen slushy cocktails from Wray & Nephew. The menu also includes cocktails, pitchers, beer, and wine.
Camden Courtyard is said to be the “next step” for Electric Ballroom, which first opened in 1938 and has hosted innumerable artists in Camden for “the best part of a century”.
Over the years, Electric Ballroom has showcased the likes of The Clash, Joy Division, Blur, Public Enemy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and The Smiths.
