1tbsp serves up first taste of forthcoming album
1tbsp has linked up with Soltera for a new single titled ‘Soulseek’.
The coming together of Aussie and Colombian-American artists respectively marks the first offering from a forthcoming abum from 1tbsp.
“I made the instrumental on a flight from Mexico City to Los Angeles ahead of a recording night with Soltera. We opened it up in her garage studio and had the first half down in an hour. Back in Australia, I knew the second half needed t o move somewhere else. Since moving to Sydney, I’ve been inspired by underground community parties and this bubbly, leftfield prog-tech sound — perfect for the bush or a warehouse. I wanted to bring that feeling into the end of the track, pairing it unexpectedly with the first half. For me, ‘Soulseek’ feels like a cleanse or a rebirth, and it gives a glimpse into this multi-genre album I’ve been making,” says 1tbsp.
“‘Soulseek’ is about becoming one, merging, embodying masculine and feminine.” says Soltera.

Jodie Harsh declares ‘The Night Is Yours’ on new single
Jodie Harsh has released a new single ‘The Night Is Yours’, merging influence from vogue beat and '90s trance into a euphoric and upfront banger, described as “a refined new direction in her sound.”
“I’ve always wanted a proper call-to-action track, something with a commanding, diva-driven vocal that grabs you by the collar and drags you straight onto the dancefloor. The moment I heard this speech, I knew it was the message I needed to put out into the world.” says Jodie. “‘The Night Is Yours’ is a reminder to forget the chaos outside for a minute, to lose yourself, to move, to lock in with the people around you and actually feel something again.”
It follows the release of Jodie Harsj’s debut memoir You Had To Be There last year. Read an extract here.

Elder Island announce third album ‘Hello Baby Okay’
Elder Island have released a new single titled ‘Pink Lemon’, aimed at “escaping monotony”.
It’s taken from their forthcoming 10-track album ‘Hello Baby Okay’, which is coming out on May 8.
“‘Pink Lemon’ is about escaping monotony and dreaming of being whisked away from the everyday. We wanted it to sound like old analogue holiday photographs, with a sun glare on the image, the light and warmth of golden moments. We used classic 90s filters (famously used by Daft Punk), like the Mutronic Mutator and the Electrix Filter Factory, to bring in a slight vintage character, but kept the focus on letting the bright, silky guitar riff shine for that sunny, soul-pop feel,” say Elder Island.
The single arrives alongside a video which takes influence from Martin Parr, Wes Anderson and Jared Hess.

K Motionz drops new mixtape ‘Redline’
K Motionz has released a new seven-track mixtape ‘Redline’ via Positiva / EMI.
It features collabs with Clavish, Capo Lee, Songer, Arka and Emily Makis in blends of UK rap and R&B vocals in a drum ‘n’ bass framework.
“‘Redline’ has been a long time coming!” says K Motionz. “I first had the idea of creating a body of work like this in the first few months of 2025. I wanted to create something that wasn’t an album but a collection of music that felt as me as possible. From the sounds used to how it was all made and not just sticking to Drum & Bass which I’d typically be known for. I grew up around Garage so it felt right to have it on this project. The journey making this has been a rollercoaster of ups & downs and self doubts but that’s what making art is all about isn’t it? I’m so proud of this body of work and it feels like a new era of K Motionz has begun. This is just the start of what I have planned.”

Ahadadream drops ‘Bass Dhol’ featuring Skrillex and Raf-Sappera
Ahadadream has released a new single ‘Bass Dhol’, which has been three years in the making.
Out now via Island Records, the track blends Panjabi folk with club sounds, and has a backstory of Skrillex encouraging Ahadadream to go full-time for his music career.
“The beginnings of bass dhol were back in early 2023, when Sonny invited me to work on music together in Miami. That’s when I played him some Raf Saperra too, he loved the vibe and we thought he’d be perfect for this track. Early versions of the track have been getting played since back then, so I’m super happy to finally see this officially going out into the world in its final form.”

Eliza Rose shares vinyl-only single ‘Quasimodo (0800-Flirt-Divert)’
Eliza Rose has released a new vinyl-only single ‘Quasimodo (0800-Flirt-Divert)’, written in collaboration with Zach Witness.
““Carefree, fun and a little silly Quasimodo could be compared to gossiping with the girls on hazy, lazy summers afternoon, drinking wine and tinnys in London Fields,” says Eliza Rose, of the track which is about the “perils of being chatted up when you just want to be free.”
Eliza Rose has also announced her debut live show will be taking place at at Chats Palace Arts Centre in East London on March 20.
"Doing my first live show with a band at Chats Palace truly feels like a home coming. I grew up in Chats Palace; my mum ran two drama groups called Stage Left, and Chit Chat, back when the road was known as murder mile. Me and my sisters were there all the time, performing, playing table football, watching my mum teach. Either way I was parading about Chats for years. It feels almost unreal to be back, like a fever dream! Something I would have wished for when I was running around the hallways,” she says. “This show really feels like the start of something special, going back to a space which was one of the first places I performed. Truly full circle, closing off the last chapter ready for the next story to begin."
