Nikki Nair teams up with Foodman on new two-tracker 'Nagoya'

Atlanta speed demon Nikki Nair has teamed up with Japanese footwork and juke legend Foodman on a new two-tracker, which landed on Hyperdub on Friday (November 7).

Named after, and inspired by, Foodman's hometown, 'Nagoya' was created during a studio session when Nair visited the city while on tour in Japan. "These moments and memories in Nagoya directly embedded in the EP," says Foodman.

Lead track 'Sorry I lost My Glasses in the Public Bathhouse' features a drumming instrumental from Nair, which was recorded during that same session – while second track 'Deep Miso' is named after Foodman's nickname for Nagoya speciality miso nikomi udon.

Fred again.. shares 'Beto's Horns' remixes for latest "USB series" release

Continuing his run of 'USB002' releases, Fred again.. has unveiled two remixes of his massive summer hit 'Beto's Horns', including a live jam session recording from The Ezra Collective.

The USB series has so far seen Fred again.. collaborate with Sammy Virji, KETTAMA, Floating Points, Amyl and the Sniffers, Caribou, Skin on Skin and more with no plans to let up any time soon, with the producer confirming that ten tracks and ten shows in cities around the world will be happening across the next ten weeks.

'Beto's Horns (fred remix)' features Argentine hip hop/pop duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, with the artists having worked on the track publicly on Twitch streams recorded in Athens, Madrid and finally Paris — where the final vocals were reportedly polished off last week.

'Beto's Horns (Ezra Collective Remix)' similarly has streamland origins, created during a live jam session in Central London, with a music video expected to be released on Monday (November 10).

London-based producer Zaltsman has announced his debut on Moxie's On Loop imprint, 'Here, Everywhere', set to land on November 21.

News of the three-tracker comes alongside the release of title track 'Here, Everywhere' - a blistering slow-burner, featuring ricocheting percussion and glistening bass.

"Here, Everywhere is the coming together of different corners of club music that I find inspiring. I think the tracks all represent something different to one another, but I wanted them to all align in a DJ set," says Zaltsman.

Frazi.er unveils '90s techno-inspired debut album 'Capitalism Kills Culture'

Scottish producer Frazi.er has just released his emotionally-charged debut album 'Capitalism Kills Culture', which landed on Glasgow imprint Parallel Visions on Friday (November 7).

Utilising the artist's trademark "train track" percussion and hypnotic loops inspired by '90s techno, 'Capitalism Kills Culture' was first teased in September with the release of Theo Nasa-featuring single 'Signal Breaker'.

“Capitalism Kills Culture is a stand against a system that turns art into algorithms," says Frazi.er. "This album channels vision into purpose, carving a sound that rejects the fast-paced polished trends of modern music."

"It stands for independence, fueled by raw emotion and the belief that real culture will always survive. It's a reminder of what matters when everything else feels disposable. A resistance against capitalism — a reward for those who sacrifice in the hope of something real.”

Dubstep pioneer Mala has shared his first single in four years, 'Militant Don', a collaborative single with MC Magugu which landed on DEEP MEDi on Friday (November 7).

Having been rinsed by Skream, Sir Spyro and Four Tet, 'Militant Don' has been the subject of endless track ID requests, which resulted in Mala making the decision to release the track, his first since 2022's 'A Way Back' EP with The Ezra Collective's Joe Armon-Jones.

On 'Militant Don' Mala weaves furious snares into a frenetic array of high hats below Magugu's booming, commanding tenor as he declares beat them down like an African drum.”

Sam Gellaitry shares debut album 'ANYWHERE HERE IS PERFECT'

Scottish DJ and producer Sam Gellaitry has shared his debut album 'ANYWHERE IS PERFECT', which landed on Major Recordings / Warner Records on Friday (November 7).

'ANYWHERE IS PERFECT' was inspired by the end of a relationship, which Gallaitry likens to the moment before the end of a taxi ride when you're ready to get dropped off.

"You’ve started a journey with someone (who at one point was equally a stranger), and now you’ve announced you’re ready to stand on your own two feet, make your own moves, and follow your own path," he says.

"The person has got you exactly where you need to be and was with you through an essential part of your life journey. If the road is there to resemble your destiny then make sure you know where you are going, as well as yourself.”

Alongside the album's full release, Gellaitry has shared a music video for his synth-laden single 'ON&ON', which centres around a meet-cute between a couple in a bowling alley.

The follow-up to three EPs centred around water, earth, and fire, 'Fury' focuses around the movement and intensity of air for the fouth release in the series – though don't be fooled into thinking this this features any less of Iri's trademark, breakneck techno and furious bass.
