KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt release their first-ever collaboration, ‘Losing Control’

KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt have joined forces in a highly anticipated single. Announced during a link-up at Dour Festival in Belgium, the pair are now returning to the country to celebrate the release. Catch them going back-to-back - also for the first time ever - on Sunday to 20,000 ravers at Zeebrugge Beach, Belgium.

KI/KI shares: “I remember playing Marlon’s tunes in my sets before we met and me thinking ‘who is this guy?’ His tracks just hit differently. After we met for the first time, I pictured us making a track together where our sounds would merge - powerful, crazy but still emotional. Our first studio session followed soon after and everything fell into place. I’m incredibly thankful to share such an epic journey together and, most importantly, SO READY TO LOSE CONTROL.”

Marlon Hoffstadt adds: “Even before I knew KI/KI, I wanted to make music with her. She has always been an inspiration to me and I knew it would slap if we got in the studio together. Seeing ‘Losing Control’ unfold makes me so happy. It’s the best of both our worlds: raw, fast, emotional. And crowds just lose it every single time.

keiyaA returns after a five-year hiatus with new single ‘stupid prizes’

Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer keiyaA has returned after a five-year break, dealing with “loss, grief, and anger”. This new single, ‘stupid prizes’ has her reflect on these emotions lyrically as well as with her production.

keiyaA shares: “I wrote, recorded, and produced ‘stupid prizes’ all in one sitting, at home late at night in my living room in Brooklyn. I sampled Percy Faith, an orchestral composer known for creating rich and luscious scores and show tunes, helping contribute to this classic “American” sound. I sought out to create this sort of bed of irony, to speak and sing about being miserable on top of this beautiful, dreamy and romantic music. which speaks not only to what it can feel like navigating my internal and external worlds, but also what it feels like being a marginalised person in America.”
