Lone announces first album in five years, 'Hyperphantasia'
Returning with his first album in five years, Lone has shared details of his forthcoming album 'Hyperphantasia', which will be released via Greco-Roman on March 27.
Featuring collaborations with Ell Murphy, Lou Hayter, Juga-Nau, Cloud Four Four, Bikôkô, and more, Lone named the new album after the "exceptionally detailed mental imagery" he had experienced in its creation, wanting to get the music to sound "exactly" like his imagination.
“'Hyperphantasia' is: Unhinged, unrestrained, self-indulgent bat-shit pop music from an alternate dimension," says Lone. "A beautiful, synthetic hall of mirrors head rush... Like taking every style I've worked with, amping them up to 11 and firing them off a cliff.”
Lone has already released five tracks from the album via Bandcamp: 'Acension', 'Sickly, Sweetly, Summer Movie', 'Waterfall Reverse', 'Triton', and 'Life Spark — the latter of which you can listen to below.

Wisdom Teeth announce compilation of music from central Japan

New compilation album ‘FOLKSOUL’ spotlights Indian folk-turned-electronic music
A new compilation album titled ‘FOLKSOUL’ has been released, created on a mobile recording studio travelling across India where women are invited to make folk music in a space that is “safe and supportive, even within communities where singing, recording, or playing instruments has historically been discouraged or restricted”. The recordings were then sent to producers around the world to rework into electronic pieces.
Through journeys into forests, mountains and villages, traditional Indian folk music was recorded and then turned into contemporary club music spanning Brazilian funk, dubstep, garage, drum ‘n’ bass, and more.
“Every woman on this album carries a fragment of history, and together, we’ve built a new language – one made of courage, rhythm, and truth,” says Mumbai artist Krantinaari, who spearheaded the project. “The sound of women isn’t just heard; it’s felt across generations. ‘FOLKSOUL’ stands for women and for the global movement towards balance – in climate, in gender, in power.”
