EsDeeKid drops new single and video, ‘Omens’

Scouse rapper of the moment EsDeeKid has released a new single ‘Omens’ via Lizzy Records.

The beat is co-made by three producers — the UK’s Cppo, Massachusetts-based Toom and Italian Wasa — and is drawing comparisons to Playboi Carti.

The track arrives alongside a video directed by Archie Erskine, featuring EsDeeKid riding horseback in a wintery landscape, flexing guns and medieval weapons.

Skee Mask releases new four-track EP 

The industrious Skee Mask has released a new EP on the Ilian Tape sublabel dedicated entirely to his productions, Ilian Skee Series.

The four-track offering showcases his trademark style of analogue techno, weawving influence from hip hop, d’n’b, ambient and more.

LB aka LABAT shares Skin On Skin collaboration from upcoming debut album

LB aka LABAT has released another single — the title-track — from his forthcoming debut album.

'Feel So Good Around U' is a collaboration with Skin On Skin, and is a welcome dose of serotonin, serving up emotive guitar strums, airy vocals and crashing breaks. 

It marks the fourth single released from the album, following ‘Rainy Days (but it's all good)’ feat. Sam Alfred, ‘Fixated’ feat. amne & Memphis and ‘Cómete’ feat. MJ Nebreda,

A nostalgia-drenched video directed by Pierre Guardon and produced by Pedro Summer and Deux Pour Cents is also out now.

Ricardo Villalobos helms new Sun Ra remix compilation ‘When There Is No Sun’

Ricardo Villalobos has curated a new V/A compilation reworking the music of the late radical jazz legend Sun Ra.

The 12-track record is coming out via Omni Sound and features reworks by Underground Resistance, Chez Damier & Ben Vedren, Calibre, A Guy Called Gerald, She Spells Doom, Barış K, and Ricardo Villalobos himself.

The release notes state: “Rooted in deep reverence for Sun Ra’s legacy, yet reaching forward as a living, generative force, When There Is No Sun is not a tribute but a continuum, balancing the pulse of electronic music with the spirit of experimentation, embodying Sun Ra’s promise that ‘there are other worlds’ if you are willing to see them.”

Roger Sanchez returns with new club groover ‘Come My Way’ 

New York’s Roger Sanchez is back with a brand new single, ‘Come My Way’, a club-ready house groover that pulls from the legacy of UK club culture.

“The vibe for ‘Come My Way’ was definitely centred around a UK sound and particularly influenced by recent summers spent in the studio in London. I was channeling those sounds on this one for sure and the vocals came together to perfectly complement,” he explains.

Flying Lotus reveals debut release on his Brainfeeder imprint, ‘BIG MAMA’

Flying Lotus has announced his return with his first-ever record on his own Brainfeeder imprint, titled ‘BIG MAMA’, after almost 20 years since the label’s launch. 

The 7-track record, which was completed over the space of two months, is described by FlyLo as a way to “vent out some of my inner chaos” – exploring intricate synthwork and experimental sonics.

“I wanted it to feel like being shot out of a cannon, just explosive, unpredictable energy,” he says. “Like a fuckin’ computer gone awry. Like a machine that had just lost its mind.”

IZCO unveils details of debut album on Brownswood, ‘Powerscroft'

London DJ and producer IZCO has unveiled details around his debut album, titled ‘Powerscroft’, set to be released on Brownswood Recordings on May 1.

The record is influenced by the formative genres that IZCO has explored over the past decade, including jungle, broken beat, garage, soul, dub, and grime. The first single from the album, ‘Strike a Pose’ featuring Camille Munn, is out now.

Arca remixes Robyn’s hit track ‘Sexistential’

Robyn has enlisted Arca to remix her recent hit track ‘Sexistential’, which landed ahead of her first album in seven years as the lead single, exploring themes of sensuality and playfulness.

“I want her sense of humour - bold vision and sense of melody is so important,” says Arca. “This track I’ve remixed, ‘Sexistential’, deconstructs pleasure, play and motherhood in such a refreshing way.”

Carl Cox marks US Black History month with remix of James Brown's 'Say It Loud – I’m Black and I’m Proud' 

To mark the US Black History Month this February, Carl Cox has shared an official remix of James Brown's 1968 Civil Rights anthem ‘Say It Loud – I’m Black and I’m Proud’. 

The rework has been released alongside another reimagining of the track from Jason Brown, and a live recording of Brown peforming the track in Augusta, Georgia, in 1969. “Remixing ‘Say It Loud – I’m Black and I’m Proud’ isn’t about the past, it’s about keeping the fire alive," Cox said in a statement. "James Brown laid the foundation, the rhythm, the message, the pride." 

"His legacy still moves dancefloors and minds worldwide," he continues. "This is respect to the Godfather, to Black History, and to the power of music that unites us all.”

Elton John shares club-angled remix EP for Record Store Day 2026

Elton John has shared details of a limited edition, electronic-focused remix EP, which will be available to buy exclusively through Record Store Day 2026 independent retailers.

Released via Positiva, and curated by the 'Rocket Man' himself, ‘Positiva presents: Elton John  - The Remixes’ features reworks from Claptone, Pnau, Purple Disco Machine, The Blessed Madonna, and more, and has been pressed onto a 180g ‘glow in the dark’ vinyl.

Tabula Rasa release new compilation 'UK Garage from California'

San Francisco-based imprint Tabula Rasa Records has released a new, 13-track compilation featuring UK garage cuts created exclusively by producers from the US West Coast. 

Tracing the transatlantic heritage of UK garage, from Larry Levan at Paradise Garage to Jamaican sound system culture, 'UK Garage from California'  features contribitions from Clearcast, RamonPang, different sleep, DREAIR, Lucas Mills and many more.

Ella Mai shares third studio album 'Do You Still Love Me?' 

GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Ella Mai has released her third studio album, 'Do You Still Love Me?', which landed on 10 Summers/Interscope Records on Friday (February 6). 

14-track, R&B odyssey was previously teased with stand out singles including '100' produced by Mustard and Keanu Beats, 'Might Just', and 'Somebody's Son'.
