Ironworks, the brand new 7,000-capacity warehouse venue opening this autumn in East London, has revealed its initial line-ups.

The new venue will take over a disused warehouse in the Royal Docks, as part of the development of the Thames Wharf site, opening its doors for the first time on Saturday, October 3, with an autumn season running throughout that month until Sunday, November 1.

First wave line-ups include six “artist-led” day-to-night takeovers, opening things up with a curated night from Jamie Jones, who promises to bring plenty of special guests.

Elsewhere, Eric Prydz and CamelPhat will each take over events at the new space, followed by a Halloween show from London-via-Ibiza promoters Appetite.

A special unannounced live show will take place during Ironworks’ opening month, while Charlotte de Witte takes the reins to close out initial celebrations in November.

Ironworks is being developed by "placemaking" organisation PROJEKT and events company LWE, whose co-founders have been responsible for events at London venues like Turnmills, Great Suffolk Street and Tobacco Dock.

The venue is set to feature an open-air terrace overlooking the River Thames, as well as "cutting-edge sound, lighting and visual production" throughout the space.

As well as artist-curated shows, Ironworks will also host a takeover from the Museum of Youth Culture, who will present a visual installation at the venue exploring London warehouse culture.
