Turn up bass, and tune out crying babies

Don't you hate it when you're walking down the street and the roar of a motorcycle all but deafens you as it whizzes past? Or when sirens blare past your house, drowning out your own thoughts.

Dopper Labs has come up with a solution to these auditory problems.

After securing a $17 million Series B investment, the organisation are set to launch the Here Active Listening earbuds towards the end of 2015. At first they'll only be available to the people who pledged over $635,189 on a Kickstarter page but should see full release soon.

One of the many features is the ability to control the volume of your surroundings using an app on your iPhone. The app will also come packed with the functionality to reduce the dB levels of certain situations.

Underground or subway too loud? Then you can turn it down. Baby crying giving you a migraine? That can be edited. We're thinking if you go to a club night and the bass is just that little bit too heavy, all it takes is a quick flick on your phone and you're sorted. Perfect.

While it might be a while until we see the technology in the UK, it's an exciting prospect and one we'll be keeping a close eye on. Check out the video below to see how the magical earbuds work.
