With the second season of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things on the horizon, Netflix has released a pixel-art style Stranger Things game that is now available for free on iOS and Android.

Developed by BonusXP, Stranger Things the Game allows players to investigate mysterious disappearances in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana and venture into the dreaded Upside Down. Starting off as Chief Jim Hopper exploring the secretive Hawkins Lab in search of the missing boys, players go on to solve puzzles, compete against friends, collect Ego waffles and play as any of the four beloved children protagonists.

The game’s press release hinted that the game may in fact unlock “secret characters or exclusive, never-before-seen-footage-of-Season-2”.

Stranger Things season 2 comes out on October 27. The same day as the show’s release, a 16-piece orchestra is set to perform the entire Stranger Things soundtrack at Brixton Electric. Learn more by going here.
