Musixster launches competition system to help artists publicise their music

New platform Musixster is set to revolutionise artist engagement, providing a dynamic fan-based interaction system to help artists promote their songs.

The innovative approach sees tracks pitted against each other in an online competition system, with songs voted on by fans and given a respective score.

Successful artists who win a “cumulative of five battles" gain a cash prize of $200 at a time which can then be put towards the artist’s own musical productions.

The first-of-its-kind musical competition network is based on a “dynamic rankings system” which sees a fluid approach to competitions, with a constantly running championship that allows artists and their tracks to continually gain or lose points — allowing the possibility of artists to achieve top rankings, redgardless of their starting point.

Fans must listen to at least 90 seconds of each respective song to ensure full engagement with prospective tracks, and can be invited by artists from anywhere to vote for them — as well as provide useful feedback from fans then registered on the network.

The platform creates a “democratic visibility”, and is open to all artists across genres and backgrounds, with their scores decided by music lovers and music trends.

These scores are passed onto record labels, who can use the data provided by Musixster to inform them about exciting up-and-coming acts and their interactions with fans.
