Mumdance

Mumdance casts his net far and wide on his contribution to Fabric's seminal series. Joining the dots between grime through the ages – from the weightless buzz of 'Inside The Catacomb' to the rough-and-ready 8-bar angst of Jon E Cash's 'Kamikaze' – and weaving together snippets of recent work with of Pinch and Novelist, his sound palette is a joy to behold.

Opening with the beatless, space-age rumble of Shapednoise's 'Travels In The Universe Of The Soul', a harsh, dystopian wall of sound challenges the listener to stick with him to be rewarded. Keep the faith and you'll find a blistering selection of bass, grime and twisted future sounds that culminates in Riko's VIP version of 2014 anthem 'Take Time' (as well as a special Fabric VIP of Novelist's 'One Sec') before fading out amid a trippy haze of jungle and hardcore. Exquisite.
