When it comes to touring and being on the road, Mount Kimbie are two of the busiest in the game. Their schedule is always packed full and now they're hitting London for a special DJ set tomorrow.

They will be playing at the Maya Jane Coles and friends party organised by Found and the killer party taking place at Building Six is set to be one of the biggest of the weekend.

The duo will join Damian Lazarus, Curses, Happa and of course Maya at the Halloween bash and we caught up with Dom from the duo for a brief chat about the gig and what you can expect.

Check it out below and grab tickets here.

It seems like you've been touring non-stop for a long time now, how have the last few years been and is it nice to be playing DJ sets as opposed to live shows?

Yeah the touring went on for a very long while, we enjoyed it but then it was time to stop and come back down to earth for a bit. Its taken us an age to get into any sort of groove with writing music again now that we are settled back home, but slowly we are building momentum again and making progress.

The challenge of DJing has been tough, but very rewarding, i'll never stop learning and trying to get better. It is such an art form, and one that I'm entirely obsessed with.

What sort of stuff do you draw for in your DJ sets? Are there any tracks that you play every time without fail?

I try to approach my djing with the same freedom that I feel when I produce - anything goes. I'm not afraid of playing film soundtrack stuff, ambient, classical music - trying to build atmosphere before any beats come in is important to me. Most recently i've been listening to/buying a lot of trippy techno and acid, the weirder the better.

What are your favourite venues to DJ in and to party in?

La Machine in Paris is a good venue, and, more recently I played Motion in Bristol - which is a brilliant space.

What can we expect in 2016?

New Mount Kimbie music for sure. Maybe some live shows, definitely some more DJ sets.
