MK and Becky Hill came together to debut 'Piece Of Me' in spectacular fashion at BBC Radio 1's international venture in Los Angeles, an appropriate welcoming for the anthemic house tune.
Understandably so, the track has been picked up by handfuls of producers eager to throw their own spin on Becky's charming vocal leads and MK's production - enough to warrant two separate remix package releases.
The Saunderson Brothers - born Dantiez and Damarii Saunderson - come from a family of well-rounded talent (Kevin Saunderson, you might have heard of him) and offer up their own take on 'Piece Of Me', which arrives on the second remix package releasing on AREA10 on May 27.
"Really enjoyed working on this remix for our bro MK, wicked track with plenty of vocal elements to play with," the brothers said of their decision to rework 'Piece Of Me'. "He’s always been around while we grew up and supported our ambitions in music, so this has been an honour. We just hope we did the track justice!”
And indeed, the remix properly showcases the highlights from all parties involved. Tumbling straight into a electrified rendition of the original, The Saunderson Brothers lean on a bumping groove and manipulate Becky's top line for a danceable new track.
"I heard this remix of 'Piece of Me' and immediately said, 'yes, let’s definitely use this,'" MK shared. "I really like what the boys did with the mix."
