Mixmag & Smirnoff link with Black Coffee, Madam X and more for Global Dancefloor documentaries

Mixmag has teamed up with Smirnoff for a new documentary series called Global Dancefloor, which explores the most exciting dance music cultures around the world and features artists like Black Coffee, Madam X, Octopizzo and more.

Consisting of nine episodes, each featuring a different country, viewers are guided by local heroes to present an in-depth look at their buzzing music communities. These various cultures share a common thread, in that they are all rooted in inclusivity and are having a strong impact on the global scene.

Each week Mixmag will unveil a new Global Dancefloor episode, beginning on May 1 with a spotlight on Kenya’s NuNairobi movement. Then, the series continues with episodes on South Africa’s afro house scene, Angola’s innovative kuduro genre, the vibrant party culture in Nigeria, the underground community in Beirut, high energy dance music in India, female techno talent taking over Thailand and a spotlight on the leading music collective in Jakarta.

Look for the Global Dancefloor documentary series rolling out via MixmagTV and Facebook beginning on May 1 with a spotlight on Kenya.
