DJs react to Mixmag Records first vinyl release
Praise from The Black Madonna, John Tejada, Busy P and more
DJ reaction is in for 'The Keyboard Wizards Of Acid House', Mixmag Records' first limited edition vinyl release.
The double album, featuring rediscovered, remastered tracks from some of the UK's pioneers of live electronica, has garnered praise from DJs across the dance music spectrum.
“I love all of this." says John Tejada, "My favourite era and twisted styles. Awesome!”. The Black Madonna describes the release as 'Excellent." "Will play tons of these," say Irish duo Brame & Hamo, while Appleblim's reaction was "WOW! some of my fave trax ever and some I have never heard." Electro legend The Hacker ("amazing compilation") and Arnaud Rebotini ("Superbe") are fans, as is Pedro Winter aka Busy P, who reckons it's “Splendid! Magnificent!”.
Michael Mayer is a longtime fan of music from the era: "I've played my copy of 'Live At The Brain' to death... that comp triggered a lot of fantasies back then. So nice to have Lunarci's 'SBassed' in good quality. But where's ‘Sheep on Drugs’...?" Looks like we might have to get a Volume 2 sorted then!
The limited edition double-vinyl is available now priced £19.99 via Juno.
