Miller Music Amplified lands in Sydney
The two-night event features DJ sets from The Aston Shuffle, KLP, LO’99 and Young Franco
As part of the Miller Music Amplified event series, Mixmag and Miller Genuine Draft are switching things up in September, taking over Sydney’s Flamingo Lounge for two exclusive nights of ‘When Exceptional Happens’. The event kicks off on Friday 14th September with KLP and Young Franco, followed by The Aston Shuffle and LO’99 jumping up the next night.
KLP is the multi-talented singer/producer/DJ who’s released a number of killer collabs with What So Not & Skrillex, Sharam Jay and more. She’s previously featured on tracks with Slumberjack and Set Mo and spends her time between running her own label, touring the country’s leading clubs and hosting her triple j radio show. Plus, KLP will be mixing a disc on the re-birth of the Ministry Of Sound session CD and features on the recent collaboration ‘High’ with Stace Cadet which currently sits at #6 in the ARIA Club charts.
Young Franco is the prolific producer famed for his energetic dancefloor anthems ‘Drop Your Love’, ‘Miss You’ and most recently the grime-house-infused ‘About This Thing’. The Kitsune signed artist has been holed up in his studio this year, putting the finishing touches to his highly-anticipated album, expected in late 2018.
DJs, producers and radio presenters The Aston Shuffle have established themselves at the forefront of the AU dance scene and are forging a growing presence on the world stage through their releases on The Magician’s Potion Records label and appearances at Tomorrowland and Hï Ibiza.
LO’99 runs his own imprint Medium Rare Recordings, clocking up four Beatport #1s and three #1 club records on the AU ARIA charts. He’s had a big year debuting his live show at Splendour in the Grass and hitting the main stage at EDC Las Vegas and over the years has remixed some of the greats including Röyksopp, Moby, Aluna George, Fatboy Slim and more.
