Also on the line-up is Milan-based DJ Luwei, who will be taking over a monthly residency at the club starting on New Year’s Day.

“I’m so excited to announce this big news - I’ll be the resident DJ and host a monthly party at Tempio del Futuro Perduto from January 2023,” Luwei announced on Instagram yesterday.

“Starting exactly on the first day of the new year, I’ll play on the 3rd day of this three-day festival to celebrate the new year and five-year anniversary of Tempio.”

First opened in 2017, Tempio became the very first independent multi-disciplinary cultural centre recognised under Italian law, originally an illegal squat rave set up by Tommaso Dapri in an abandoned building that once housed a train factory.

To celebrate its fifth birthday, Tempio will also host an exhibition by Captain Cosmotic as part of the multidisciplinary event with prints, video projections and interactive works, while the event will also feature dance and digital arts programmes.

The event, and Tempio as a whole, is curated by a group of young artists who will provide performing arts workshops across the three days, training courses, and groups working with refugees and ex-inmates.
