Mike Parker is renowned for his twisted, often eccentric take on the techno sound and this EP goes straight to the heart of his experiments with the genre. 'Transgression and Punishment' isn't quite as bold as the title suggests, but it is ridiculously repetitive, the fizzing cascade of analogue staying ever present from start to end. It could be annoying to some, but we found comfort in the monotony. It's a track that doesn't abate, no attempt to be anything than what it is, which, for us, is a win.
