Mhysa is ‘Just A Girl’ in new video

Mhysa has unveiled the video for ‘Just A Girl’, a cut taken from her recent NON Worldwide EP ‘Hivemind’.
The track is collaboration with chukwumaa, her fellow ATM crew member and production partner in the duo SCRAAATCH, and combines sparse percussion, scuzzy foundations and evocative vocals into a politically-charged whole.
“Made for Black Women FIRST by a Black Woman in the USA with love for the folk,” was emblazoned on the sleevenotes of the EP, and the visual accompaniment for ‘Just A Girl’ mirrors this message, exploring themes of gender and identity in its stripped-back direction.
