Martyn and Beautiful Swimmers to host record fair at Boston's Together festival
Dig through their labels as well as records from Boston's renowned selectors
Boston’s multifaceted Together festival has announced a collaborative pop-up record fair from Dutch favorite Martyn and D.C. legends Beautiful Swimmers.
Set to take place at the Mmmmaven School in Cambridge, the record allows the public to dig through collections of Boston’s most renowned selectors as well as labels from Washington, D.C., such as 3024, Future Times, and World Building.
Having relocated to D.C., Martyn’s 3024 label has supplied the industry with quality releases from the likes of Leon Vynehall, Jacques Greene and Trevino, plus Martyn and Steffi’s Doms & Deykers project.
Ari Goldman, one half of Beautiful Swimmers, launched his World Building label in 2016 to critical acclaim as the inaugural release from Mark Seven was a staple in clubs and festival stages around the world. Now the label is continuing to expand with a second release from FLØRIST and much more still to come.
On a similar note, Maxmillion Dunbar, aka Andrew Field-Pickering of Beautiful Swimmers, launched his label Future Times in 2008 and has released material from the likes of Shanti Celeste, Person of Interest, Huerco S, Jack J and more.
Dig through these renowned labels and more on May 20.
Aside from hosting the official Together record fair, the Beautiful Swimmers will take the stage at the Together 2017 Closing Party at Middlesex Lounge on Sunday, May 21st. Acclaimed UK producer Leon Vynehall will join them on the night to close out the week-long celebration.
