Mark Pritchard announces new album with video for 'Sad Alron'

Linda Perhacs, Thom Yorke and Bibio all feature on the new record

After a few years absence, Australian producer Mark Pritchard has returned with a video for ‘Sad Alron’, a cut from his latest album (artwork above) ‘Under the Sun’.

The video features psychedelic CGI renderings of geometric formations among natural images of mountainous terrain. The music within is cinematic to say the least and teases the familiar engrossing sounds that we’ve come to know from Pritchard.

‘Under the Sun’ has notable appearances from the recently re-emerged psychedelic folk singer Linda Perhacs, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and Pritchard’s Warp cohort Bibio. Perhacs and Yorke have both been known to be electronic music tourists and their inclusion speaks to what may be a bold and fascinating record.

‘Under the Sun’ is due to be released on May 13 via Warp records, but until then the preview video can be viewed below.
