Man jailed for involvement in supply of 'Superman' pills
Police seized a batch last year after a number of deaths
A man has been jailed for six years after being found guilty of dealing the 'Superman' pills that are believed to have caused multiple deaths in 2015.
Shropshire resident Damian Malolepszy has been charged with "being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs", the same batch of 'ecstasy' thought to be related to last year's death of 27-year-old Daniel Bagnall from Telford on New Year's Day.
The cause of Bagnall's death is yet to be certified, with an inquest planned for this year. BBC also reports Malolepszy was charged with three other counts of Class A and Class B drug possession, and is set to be deported to his native Poland following his prison sentence.
Malolepszy is the second man to be charged with supplying the pills, after a teenager admitted to the same charge in January last year.
Following the drug-related deaths in 2015, police seized 400 of the pink, triangular pills, which were believed to contain PMA (phenoxymethylamphetamine).
