Madonna has announced the release of a new dance music album, and her return to Warner Records after some 20 years.

Slated for release in 2026, ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor Part 2’ acts as a follow-up to her 2005 album of the same name, going “back to where it all began”, she said in an Instagram post yesterday (September 18).

“Almost two decades later - and it feels like home with Warner Records,” she said. “Back to music, back to the dancefloor, back to where it all began!”

The new album will also see Madonna return to work alongside UK DJ and producer Stuart Price, who she worked with on ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’. No release date or tracklist have been revealed as of yet.

In a new statement, Madonna explains: “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer,” (via NME).

“Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Speaking on her return to Warner, co-chairmen of the label, Tom Carson and Aaron Bay-Schuck, called it a “historic, full circle moment” that reaffirms her “unparalleled influence”.

“For decades, she has not only defined the sound of global pop music but also reshaped culture itself with her vision, innovation, and fearless artistry,” they said.

In June, Madonna announced the release of 'Veronica Electronica', the long-rumoured remix accompaniment to her 1998 album 'Ray of Light', featuring rare and unreleased remixes from the likes of SashaWilliam Orbit, and more.
