Lucy is now on his third album, and what a treat this one is. Anyone familiar with his work will definitely be a little bit surprised, as he’s utilised the album format to really push the boat out and go deep with his musical explorations.

The first two tracks feature almost mantra-like Asian chants and vocal clips which, combined with ethereal, meditative atmospherics, lull you into a blissful trance. Third track ‘Vibrations Of A Circular Membrane’ heads into slightly more visceral territory but is still very nuanced, and the Indian influence remains present with the use of instruments such the pungi and tablas on ‘A Millenia Old Adversary’. ‘Meetings With Remarkable Entities’ has that futuristic feel, but the rest of the LP is more organic, more natural and totally engrossing.

A fantastic collection of leftfield techno that will devour you from the first listen, and should remain on regular play for years to come
