This week The Lab SYD welcomes the unique sounds of Ned Beckley aka Lower Spectrum. Constantly pushing the boundaries of production, this young producer has created his own brand of electro, weaving rough vinyl samples through warm layered analog synth lines.

After his huge 2014 release ‘Traces' clocked up over one million plays on Spotify, Lower Spectrum has toured Australia supporting Pantha Du Prince, Onra, Nightmares on Wax and more, as well as playing sets at St Jeromes Laneway Festival, Brisbane’s BIGSOUND and Melbourne Music Week.

His latest EP ‘Inverse' was released earlier this year via Pilerats Records offering a collection of remixes, original and bonus works, featuring both 'Atlas (Movements I and II)' and 'Oracle'. The title track and most recent single ‘Masqerade’ has been reworked from a handful of talented producers from around the world including Rioux, Lucianblomkamp and Satori.

Take a listen to the ‘Inverse’ EP here and catch him performing live in Sydney and Melbourne at the end of the month. Tickets and more info here.

This weeks Lab SYD kicks off at the usual time of 6pm AEST and you can tune in over on our Facebook page.

The Smirnoff Sound Collective is all about bringing fans closer to the DJs, providing up and coming talent with a solid platform and throwing unique events where fans and artists can party together. Check out more from the Sound Collective here
