Louisahhh!!! & Maelstrom are a force to be reckoned with. Their 'Traces' EP last year ruffled some feathers and after they enlisted the remixing talents of techno gods Perc and Dave Clarke, they cemented their status as a power-pairing to keep an eye on. They return in 2015 with the 'Friction' EP and once again the pair have hit gold.
The title track kicks off with venomous throbbing and a considerable amount of drive before Louisahhh!!!'s seductive whispers trickle in. The track is stompier than the duo's previous productions but still comes armed with rolling drops and beautifully timed crescendos. We're really feeling 'Body Music', too, and there's more weight to Louisahhh!!!'s vocals on this one. We heard her play it in Amsterdam at Paradiso and it quite literally shook the room. Three wicked original tracks and two intelligent edits from our favourite techno tag-team.
