Lotic

Lotic's last proper release, 'Heterocetera', was a wild EP but we're glad to see him back on the mixtape format.

His breakout release, 'Damsel In Distress', came out on the Janus SoundCloud and so too is 'Agitations', another twisted-metal workout that clocks in at 30 minutes. Single tracks on an EP are cool, but Lotic unfurls his fierce music on a continuous mix which sits (un)comfortably between pure noise and the club. 'Agitations' rises and falls with energy, pierced by shrill wails and pounded by ten-tonne bass bumps.

It's just what you'd expect (and just what you'd want) from Lotic, whose armageddon approach to dance music remains incredibly thrilling.
