London Overground is introducing a 24-hour service at weekends
Serving New Cross Gate to Dalston Junction to begin
Part of the London Overground network will soon be running for 24 hours at the weekends.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced the New Cross Gate to Dalston Junction line will have an all-night service arriving in time for Christmas, before extending to Highbury & Islington next year.
As reported by City A.M, Khan highlighted how the night service would make it easier for those out partying and people working through the night.
He said: “Our Night Tube services have been a real success right across the capital, so I’m delighted to announce that we’ll be bringing the Night Overground to the East London line later this year.
"It will provide huge benefits to Londoners and visitors to our city, helping those working hard through the night and all those out enjoying everything London has to offer, as well as creating jobs and boosting our economy.”
This follows the launch of the Night Tube last year, currently serving the Central, Victoria, Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern lines on Friday and Saturday nights.
