Local Action celebrates 10 years with 15-track compilation

A brand new compilation compiling tracks from Local Action’s bubbling roster has landed in celebration of the label’s tenth anniversary.

The 15-track project, titled ‘Do What You Want Forever’, features Local Action favourites and long-serving residents including India Jordan, DJ Q, Martyn Bootyspoon, and more with some of the label’s most popular tracks over time.

Label boss Tom Lea first launched the UK-based imprint in 2010 with tracks from the likes of T. Williams, who released the renowned house hitter ‘Heartbeat’ that same year.

The compilation also compiles early tracks from DJ Q with his 2012 classic ‘Brandy & Coke’, and Finn’s 'Sometimes The Going Gets a Little Tough’.

Finn’s Manchester-based imprint 2 B REAL, an affiliate and sub-label of Local Action, also joins the celebrations. Appearing multiple times on the record, the producer even takes over the name of the compilation after his 2019-released track, ‘Do What You Want Forever’.

Other additions to the compilation pull together UNIIQU3, Slackk, 96 Back, Yamaneko, and LOFT - otherwise known as aya.

“Following a sold-out 10th anniversary party at London’s Corsica Studios, award-winning record label Local Action announces ‘Do What You Want Forever', a 15 track compilation collecting its greatest hits from the last decade,” reads the compilation blurb.
