Listen to Midland's Essential Mix
The UK producer's debut mix for the series was premiered on Friday night
For his two-hour session on BBC Radio 1, Midland included music from the likes of Patrick Cowley, Talk Talk and Jai Paul.
The mix also gave the producer the perfect opportunity to tease out some of his own exclusive and previously unheard tracks.
On Facebook, Midland said:
"I’m not going to play it cool and say I didn’t put a lot of time, effort and work in to this, because I did. It feels like the culmination of ten years' work, from getting my first set of decks aged 19 to this point and so for me personally it means a lot."
