Legowelt is one of our very favourite artists. His ability to draw on the past while maintaining an up-to-date sheen to his work is just as impressive as his consistency. ‘Alien Abduction’ splices retro techno tropes with groovy funk vibes – literally. Chunky beats smash down as the bass splutters underneath, and woven into this techno tarpaulin is a filtered funk song which occasionally floods into the foreground. Is it techno? Is it an edit? Who knows… whatever it is, it rocks our world!
