LCD Soundsystem have debuted three new tracks
Fans hope that these tracks will feature on the band's forthcoming LP
LCD Soundsystem played the first of their Brooklyn Steel residency shows in New York on Thursday night and surprised fans with three exclusive tracks.
The group made posters asking their audience not to film the tracks, which read: “It’d be a real gutpunch to all the people who have been working insanely hard for the last 18 months to release this music in the way we want to release it.”
A setlist from the NY set has been posted online, naming the three new tracks as ‘Tonight’, ‘Call Police’ and ‘American Dream’.
It is thought that these tracks may feature on LCD’s forthcoming album, which James Murphy said will be “done soon.”

According to Reddit, the tracks span across different genres, and one user compares them to new Daft Punk material and makes a Low-era Bowie comparison.
LCD Soundsystem’s new album is on its way, and will be their first since 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’.
