Last Japan launches new label, Ascend
The London-based producer is inaugurating the label with a collaborative EP
Coyote Records and Circadian Rhythms mainstay Last Japan has launched a brand new imprint, Ascend.
Taking its name from Last Japan’s notable 2016 single with rapper AJ Tracey, Ascend is set to house the producer’s personal projects and collaborations.
The label’s inaugural release, ‘Cold Ascent’, is a collaborative three-tracker from London-based producer and DJ Last Japan and Finnish artist Inner, as the pair offer up a trio icy club weapons that span drill, grime and jungle.
Stream the EP’s first cut ‘East Blocks’ below and pre-order ‘Cold Ascent’ before it drops on September 28 here.
