Kenny Larkin in The Lab: Home Sessions

The Lab USA is BULLDOG Gin and Mixmag's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our offices in LA and NYC. On Friday May 8, we're switching things up with a very special The Lab: Home Sessions from Kenny Larkin.

Kenny Larkin's got tunes. 20-plus years worth of tunes. Tunes falling under the mesmerising techno umbrella, the type that make you tilt your head towards the sky in the dance and realise this is what raving's all about. He's also capable of juicy house tracks, or blissed out downtempo cuts.

A Detroit figurehead, his career has seen him release on the likes of Warp Records, R&S Records, Peacefrog Records, Richie Hawtin's Plus 8, Carl Craig's Planet E and Kevin Saunderson's KMS. He also appeared on Rush Hour Records in the '00s to present his 'Dark Comedy' releases.

His most recent work is a remix of Guti's 'Red Eye' on The Martinez Brothers' label Cuttin' Headz. Clocking in at over 10 minutes, it's classic Kenny, packing hordes of bass oomph. Check it here.

Last year saw Kenny play festivals like Movement in Detroit and share a line-up with the likes of The Martinez Brothers at Watergate Berlin. Now he's stepping up with a set in The Lab: Home Sessions.

Tune in on Friday May 8 at 10pm BST / 2pm PDT / 5pm EDT on our Facebook page.
