The surprise eight-track 'untitled unmastered.' dropped today
Kendrick Lamar's follow-up to last year's masterpiece 'To Pimp A Butterfly' is here.
The surprise 'untitled unmastered.' LP comes after a number of hints at a new release this week from Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith. The title and tracklist were then leaked on Spotify yesterday.
The eight-track collection features material worked on between mid-2013 and early this year. Tiffith confirmed the release was about to drop on Instagram today, giving a shout out to LeBron James for making it happen.
The NBA star tweeted the label head after Kendrick's performance at the Grammys last month, asking for the material to be released. The LA artist had previously performed untitled tracks on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Colbert Report.
