Yesterday Kanye West premiered his provocative music video for his single ‘Famous’ featuring Rihanna to a crowd of thousands at Los Angeles’ The Forum and since then has been available to stream on Tidal.

The video is a postmodern take on American Realist painter Vincent Desiderio’s ‘Sleep’, and features the sleeping, naked bodies of celebrities who West is affiliated with. The film sees the (prosthetic) 'bodies' of: George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and Bill Cosby.

‘The Life of Pablo’ artist is positioned in between wife Kim Kardashian and singer Taylor Swift, who he references in the song ("I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous").

On speaking to Vanity Fair, West claims that the video is: “a comment on fame” and when asked what his wife thought about the lyrics he said: “[I say] a lot of lines other wives would not allow a husband to say. But my wife also puts up photos that other husbands wouldn't let them put up. One of the keys to happiness in our marriage is we’re allowed to be ourselves.”
