'Crisis'
8/10
As part of Berlin’s Janus crew, expectations for Kajsa Blom’s debut EP are high. And while it delivers as a whole, standout track ‘Crisis’ deserves special note.
It starts with a nervous tic, finds creepiness with musique concrète trickery and monster junkyard kicks but flexes like a champ and feels outrageously nimble.
She’s right, of course: the world really does feel like it’s in crisis most of the time, and there’s lots to be angry about. But rage rarely sounds as fun as this.
