Judge Funk

Yam Who's Midnight Riot label continues it's relentless output of 80s-inspired jams with this release from Judge Funk. A five track EP, each cut is a banger. But it's 'Chief Rocker' that the likes of Soul Clap will undoubtedly lap up. A cut up female vox chirps 'This is the 80s one' before a quirky boogie-bassline drops and a bright cheeky synth hook mesmerises. We're then treated to a full on vocal anthem with chopped up hooks and classic drum machine percussion. You'd be happy with that, but then the main chorus slaps you in the face you know you've got an absolute anthem on your hands. Peak time.
