Jorkes returns with sensual house flavours for latest outing on Permanent Vacation

Jorkes has returned to Permanent Vacation to share their new EP, 'Super Hot Lover'.

Brimming with sensual house and disco soundscapes, the four-tracker is accompanied by provocative artwork from the artist's muse, Daniel Rajcsanyi.

Berlin's CYRK are on remix duties for titular track 'Super Hot Lover' - with the original pulsating house cut, euphoric piano chords and tantalising wordless vocals transformed by lashings of acid and old-school piano.

Meanwhile, Chris Cruse takes on 'Follow Me To The Toilet', by shifting the slow-burning, rippling warm synth sound into a bouncing, full-throttle house affiar.

"'Super Hot Lover' is the continuation of my first EP for Permanent Vacation, 'Super Fun Lover'," Jorkes tells Mixmag. "While 'Super Fun Lover' embraced the innocence and cuteness, the companionship and silliness of a relationship, 'Super Hot Lover' goes down to where life begins. It elevates the tension of being a ripped up hole filled with love and fluids.

"For all this you need empathy and the curiosity of wanting to get to know the other human being. Their mind, their body, their soul. Empathy and curiosity are the emotions that directly thrive from love and they usually are a good compass to discover fellow humans. This also describes kind of the year I had. I met many incredible like-minded people that I had encounters with on different levels and where we had mutual development. In my resident club Romantica in Stuttgart there is a toilet strictly for staff that I used for these kind of encounters of mutual attraction on a regular basis. It is always good to follow each other to the toilets.

"2023 in general was a fantastic year. I didn‘t acquire as much Syphilis as I did in 2022 and this is also noticeable through my music, as it became lighter, bouncier and more optimistic. In general, 2023 was a very romantic and erotic year. Exploring your hotness and sleaziness always expands your perception of personal freedom and the one you grant to others. Being a slut makes you free.”
