Mixmag is looking for a Social Media Intern to join the team.

The paid, three-month position includes working five days a week with Mixmag’s award-winning digital team. 

You'll be able to share your passion for dance music and social media while honing your skills alongside the best journalists in music media. 

The role combines remote work with three days a week based in our East London office and two days working from home.

Location: London
Type: 3 months 
Reports to: Creative Content Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Editing social media content
- Filming content for socials and the Mixmag Lab.
- Staying up to date on trends and the dance music world to optimise social media strategies.
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Collating data such as engagement, reach, and growth.
- Support the Creative Content Manager in coordinating and managing various operational and commercial projects.

Qualifications:
- Passion for social media, music journalism and dance music
- Studied or has prior experience in digital marketing or social media
- Comfortable with Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and have experience with content management systems. Knowledge of audio editing and After Effects is a plus!
- Proficiency in Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, etc.
- Videography and/or photography experience
- Prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunity to pitch innovative ideas and contribute to Mixmag's best-in-class digital content.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
