Tempa stalwart J:Kenzo digs deep on new three-track EP 'Urban Gorilla' to showcase a different side to his production remit.
From the minimalist, rolling beats of of the title track - punctuated by rave-ready vocals from Juiceman – to the surprise, grime-meets-funky energy on standout track 'Expansion', he proves there's more to his arsenal than just pure bass weight.
Final track 'Technoid' does see the EP lapse back into more laboured, comfortable territory though.
