Jason Zambito heavily pushed UK rave tunes in New York
Jason Jinx, regarded as one of New York’s most pioneering DJs, has died.
According to Big Shot, news of his death started circulating on social media, with his family setting up a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral costs. The cause of death is not yet known.
Jinx, real name Jason Zambito, was among the first wave of DJs in New York to promote the East Coast’s electronic music scene. Born in Long Island, he pushed proto-jungle tunes from UK labels like Reinforced, Formation and Moving Shadow.
